Introduction

Achieving gender equity and overcoming gender-based challenges across the pharmacy and health workforce is needed to achieve universal health coverage through access to safe and effective medicines and health services delivered by the pharmacy workforce. Join us in this special session in which we aim to:

  1. Discuss FIP’s role in achieving gender equity in pharmaceutical workforce globally.
  2. Discuss barriers and facilitators for gender equity and leadership, and strategies for gender-responsive policy advocacy.
  3. Use the outcomes to help refine the scope of work/priorities for the FIP-wide gender initiative/programme of work, particularly Pharmaceutical Workforce Development Goal 10: Gender & diversity balances
