Introduction

The first day of the Deans Forum will be focused on developing a strategic perspective for the school by the Deans. A strategic perspective can facilitate the process of engagement when managing change. Day 1 will focus on methodologies that can be used to empower Deans to transform a concept into a strategic and business plan, with a clear vision, mission and strategic objectives for the school.

The programme will include a short welcome by Catherine Duggan, CEO of FIP.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify concrete challenges and gaps in their current institutional strategic plan;
  2. Explain strategic planning according to societal trends in light of technology evolution, disruptive innovation and education needs;
  3. Describe the difference between a strategic plan and an operational plan;
  4. Describe change management initiatives at their institutions, including efficient resources allocation and organisational change.
